RADICAL FUTURE

It's clear that we need to remove carbon from our atmosphere and the race for technology to solve this  issue has been going on for nearly a decade. However, as we race to create sky vacuums, reroute ocean water and dream up ways to block out the sun, we forget that nature has already created the most perfect process for pulling carbon dioxide from our air: photosynthesis.

The climate crisis has been accelerated exponentially not just by the burning of fossil fuels but removing nature's air purifiers: forests and healthy bodies of water. The problem seems that a forest can’t be grown back overnight and healthy bodies of water rich algae can’t just be built, can they?

Wastewater

Algae and Bamboo need a lot of water, which is typically in short supply or in far too great of supply (and instability) in the ocean. There is one place where water is abundant and also not wanted: our sewers. In fact we spend billions of dollars a year dealing with all of our excess wastewater. What if we were able to tackle the 3 biggest challenges facing our planet with one solution? Well, that’s exactly what Curfectus will do. Oh and just in case you're wondering, we’ll also turn a very healthy profit.

Algae is ultra effective at sequestering carbon and it does quickly. The faster a plant grows the faster it uses Co2. While huge plants like redwood trees hold in much more carbon, they grow slowly. Thus planting huge trees would have a much slower effect on carbon being pulled out of the atmosphere.

BAMBOO

Bamboo grows so quickly and is a very durable, useful wood, it’s an incredibly lucrative crop. Also our goal is to remove carbon quickly and you simply can’t beat the speed of growing bamboo. It’s also important to note: that while it is common to use treated waste as a fertilizer some studies are showing that some toxins found in sewage are still present even after treatment and absorbed by the crops they are used in. With that also in mind Curfectus loves Bamboo because it’s not meant for human or livestock consumption.

Curfectus is in he process of developing state of the art systems and software to seamlessly manage the production, cultivation and capturing involved with our process. Focusing on automation and efficacy creates a system of profitability and impact on the global climate crissis.
